Workshops

I lead storytelling workshops for small- to medium-sized groups, whether on mindfulness retreats, in classrooms, or in corporate boardrooms.

Classrooms

From older elementary school students to college seniors, I’ll build and tailor a workshop to your curriculum, helping your students continue to tap into their creativity, build or refine skills, and discover the stories they need to tell.

Storytelling is one of the most powerful ways to discover ourselves. During retreat-based workshops, the tools of storytelling are used to help us tap into a sense of joy, creativity, and a deeper relationship with our fears, our hopes, and our purpose.

Tapping into and successfully articulating your story makes for stronger and more persuasive and effective leaders. These professional workshops build greater self-awareness and communication skills while fostering more creative problem-solving.

why should we work together?

The art of storytelling is the art of communicating with others — and with ourselves. And while not everyone may want to pursue a career sitting at a desk and dreaming up novels, the tools that fiction writing teaches us have far-reaching implications for our ability to tackle challenges, build resiliency, better connect with others, and discover a sense of joy and play in our every day lives.

My workshops make these benefits available to larger audiences, from aspiring writers to those who have never considered themselves creative.

I have an MFA in creative writing, where I taught creative and technical writing to undergraduates (while winning a few awards for my own short story and working on a book that landed me an agent). I also lecture on storytelling for entrepreneurs at events like TENWEST and the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship.

My writing workshop experience began at Georgetown University and the University of Cambridge, and I integrate more traditional practices with those based in neuroscience and psychology.
